In the kitchen, the faucet is an indispensable component. Generally speaking, after a few years of use, the faucet will become inconvenient to use, such as being inflexible, having resistance, damaged parts, etc. The emergence of these problems will bring great inconvenience to the use. Therefore, in order to ensure its normal use, it is necessary to replace it in time. So, what are the steps to disassemble the kitchen faucet?

Step 1: First prepare the tools: screwdriver, wrench, pliers. If you only want to replace a part (such as a sealing ring), prepare this part. Then close the main valve.
Step 2: Remove the small screws on or behind the faucet handle, and remove the handle fixed to the faucet body. Some faucet screws are hidden under metal buttons, plastic buttons or plastic sheets. As long as you open the button, you will see the handle screw installed on the top. The screws of faucets that have been used for a long time may become very tight due to rust and other reasons. You can drip some lubricating oil into them.
Step 3: If the screw is hidden in the hole, it is recommended to observe it with a flashlight first, mainly to see what kind of mouth the fixing screw inside is, whether it is a cross or a flat head, and then use the corresponding screwdriver to loosen it. The screws of a few brands of faucets are square holes (such as Moen). This kind of screw is more troublesome to remove. Be careful not to damage the screw mouth when using alternative tools. When this screw is loosened, you can remove the handle.
Step 4: At this time, you see a large copper nut. After removing the nut with a large movable wrench, you can remove the valve core of the faucet. Check whether the copper surface under the valve core is uneven or has fine sand particles, and clean them up.
